Shared with GBCC by Innovative Party Planners.
At Innovative Party Planners, we’ve always made a conscious effort to invest in the community around us. After discovering GBCC was gearing up for their latest rebrand, we were instantly intrigued and wanted to learn more. As a member of the chamber ourselves, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to potentially collaborate with the chamber as we have so many times in the past.
After a competitive screening process and proposal submission, we were immensely pleased to be selected for the project! Now that the rebrand is complete, we’re thrilled to be able to provide this recap of our shared journey!
“Heidi’s proposal and design concepts stood out. She has a keen eye for design and pays careful attention to understanding her client’s needs. She is flexible and knows if and when to pivot.” -Beth Rheingold, President & CEO, Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce
Better Together: Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce Rebrand
To ensure the best results possible, we knew this project would benefit from seamless collaboration between partner and designer. With the help of the GBCC Executive Director and the Chamber Marketing Committee, Heidi Hiller and IPP Graphic Designer Mallory Wheeler began brainstorming logo ideas for the new rebrand.
We started with a thorough research process and began drafting black and white designs. After an initial round of discussion, we went back to the drawing board to create a second round of logo designs with their feedback in mind.
By this time, we were able to select a clear favorite. Then it was time for the fun part: adding color! We universally agreed that the blue and green gradient palette was the right choice!
“We went through many iterations of our logo, with Heidi patiently guiding us. When she presented the logo with the color palette, we didn’t even need to look at other colors.” – Beth Rheingold, President & CEO, Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce
You can now see this same logo throughout the GBCC website and promotional materials! The transition wasn’t instant, however. First, we drafted branding guidelines that GBCC will be able to use as a resource for years to come.
Even without the GBCC text, the icon and colors have become both more memorable and recognizable.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with GBCC! Check out some of the photos from the launch party, which were captured by the lovely Heidi Marie Bell Photography.
